Ambassador Stefano Ronca at the funeral of H.M.E.H the Grand Master, Fra’ Giacomo Dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto

The Ambassador of the Order of Malta to Italy, Stefano Ronca, and the Ambassador of Italy to the Sovereign Order of Malta, Pietro Sebastiani, participated in the funeral rite celebrated in a limited form in compliance with the restriction measures for COVID-19.
“He was able to communicate kindness and gain trust even without speaking. What Saint Paul wrote in the epistle to Titus is useful to describe him: ‘Omnia munda mundis’, everything is pure for the pure”, as Ambassador Ronca remembered the Grand Master.
Officiating the funeral, Cardinal Giovanni Angelo Becciu, the Pope’s Special Delegate to the Sovereign Order of Malta, recalled the heartfelt message Pope Francis had sent when he learnt of the Grand Master’s death, remembering him as a “zealous man of culture and faith”.
