Ambassador receives Superintendent Porro for a working lunch

On 21 July, the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the Italian Republic Stefano Ronca received the Special Superintendent for the Landscape, Fine Arts, Contemporary Art and Architecture, Dr. Daniela Porro, accompanied by her collaborator Arch. Mascherucci.

The Minister Counsellor Enrico Floridi and the Embassy Counsellor Moroello Diaz della Vittoria Pallavicini, the Financial Director Dr. Giorgio Amodeo and Arch. Giorgio Ferreri also attended the lunch – observing the due COVID – 19 measures.

In an atmosphere of cordiality, the Special Superintendent Porro visited the Villa and gardens, as well as an opportunity to show the restoration works recently carried out in the Church of Santa Maria del Piranesi and in the Embassy, as well as the renovation works on the premises owned by the Order on the Lungotevere, which are used to assist people in need.

The topics of conversation covered the Order’s extensive activities in the diplomatic, humanitarian and cultural fields. The meeting provided an opportunity to highlight the strong interactions of the Italian State with the Sovereign Order of Malta and the latter’s commitment in recent years to become even more integrated with the public, to make the Order’s history and activities better known to Italian and foreign visitors.
