The traditional reception in proximity of the Feast of St. John the Baptist was held on 19 June with the participation for the first time as Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta of H.M.E. Fra’ John Dunlap and the Sovereign Council currently in charge.
Numerous authorities attended the reception, which was attended by over 800 people. These included numerous representatives of the political class and the current government, the civil and military administration, and the Diplomatic Corps.
On Friday 15 December, the traditional end-of-year greetings exchange ceremony between the Diplomatic Corps and the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, was held at the Quirinale Palace.

On 26 September 2023 the Ambassador of the Order of Malta to the Italian Republic, Stefano Ronca, took part in the Civil State Funeral of the President Emeritus of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano.
